Gentrifi-whaaa?

When we moved in two years the Plaza de las Americas was our neighborhood's equivalent of Target (not nearly AS awesome as Target, but ya know, a pretty nice budgety version.) Sadly, when it closed and reopened as The American Place it began to offer a much more limited assortment of goods and mainly just cheap clothing. There's a metaphor here, I'm sure of it.
